Our work in Haiti is about people, their empowerment and their livelihood, and we make sure that both are defined on the terms of the people we serve. Everything we do is conceived and imagined by Haitians before programs are put into place, and Haitians guide the work all throughout the process. Haitians define what we do.
We hold as a long term goal the idea that Haitians will not need outside intervention to survive and thrive and we are driven by that idea in our programming and planning for a long term eventuality.
One Hundred For Haiti creates and supports long-term social development and human rights programs related to water safety and sexual assault prevention in rural Haiti.
